Mr. Rose is the Heir to the Rose banking and oil fortune - making him one of the most important individuals in the state - while Mrs. Rose is the daughter of an industrialist.

He and Mrs. Rose met one day when they both missed their train from the city due to rain, causing them to share an umbrella and talk for hours as they waited (and subsequently realize that they'd both been taking the same train and had never met each other until now).

Falling in love at first sight, the couple started dating immediately. With her family's permission, Mr. and Mrs. Rose continued to see each other almost every day, with Mr. Rose sweeping Mrs. Rose off her feet every chance he could get, whisking her away on frequent vacations and taking her with him on his business trips.

Mr. Rose proposed to Mrs. Rose shortly before their second anniversary, wanting to celebrate their upcoming anniversary as an engaged couple.

They adopted their beloved cat named Ira on their second anniversary, and she was given to Mrs. Rose as one of her many anniversary gifts (but of course, she was her favorite gift out of them all). they are currently happily living out their first year of marriage in their mansion in the garden district.

But they won’t be a happy couple for long…

I DID IT!!! 'HOME WRECKER' IS FULLY COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED FOR SCREENINGS!!!my stomach was turning like crazy while figuring out how to submit this film, but it's done! i will update again after i find out what time i will be screening.but, for now, here's my thank you section!thank you endlessly to everyone who helped me in the production of this film, including but certainly not limited to my faculty advisor, my workshop class, my voice actors and actresses (who did an absolutely amazing job), my dear friends that have kept me sane, my grandparents who have been kept in the dark about this film but have supported me nonetheless, and to my mom (without her, this film wouldn't exist!).now, it's time for me to pass out and sleep for a few days. thank you again, everyone! ♡

i can't see the end of the horizon

in all honesty, i'm hanging on my a thread. this film has been both extremely fun and extremely stressful... and let's just say that the stress has OFFICIALLY set in!sleep seems to be a social construct. it also seems to be avoiding me.i now have less than 10 days until the official deadline, and around 70% of the animation is done. yay.so let's just say that the pressure is ON. but, as promised, here's a little update. enjoy as i cry while being permanately hunched over my drawing tablet 😭 someone get me a chiropractor...

ohh it's crunch time (i say as i stress myself out by just glancing at a calendar)as promised, here's a clip from the film! yay! I've been hard at work getting everything put together, including all of the audio... which has not been fun.regardless, progress is being made! if only i could be paid for this... sigh. anyways, wish me luck, the final days are upon us...

sleep deprivation ensues

well, i thought i had all of my backgrounds done but i completely forgot a shot 😭 so that's what I'm currently working on. then I'll be able to focus solely on animation, yippee!i'll most definitely have some animation to share on here within the next few weeks that won't be spoilers, but I've been focusing on the more difficult shots first, which are all pretty big spoilers. but i promise that I'll post some short gifs of what I'm working on shortly.here's a cute little picture of ira for your mental wellbeing, from a new illustration of the happy couple. enjoy!

woah major moves

(insert that one gif of kronk saying "oh yeah, it's all coming together)but uh... yeah, everything is rapidly propelling forward 😭 i'd post sneak peeks of the animation so far, but they're all spoilers! can't have that... sorry lolalso, a little backstory... i had completed a good few shots, but then... i had an epiphany that i actually hated everything about how i had set up the plot. so, we can all guess what happened (i scrapped all of the shots i had already done and started over). haha. ha.so, I've completed two of the new shots so far. yeowch... but oh well, i'm hoping to be done with the lined and uncolored animation by the end of the month if not earlier, so wish me luck 😭

double update (it's important!!!)

ANIMATION HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED!!! YAY!!!that's actually terrifying, but i thought an update here would be good. I'll make sure to report back when more than one shot has been completed.

backgrounds update

as you can probably tell from the title, I've been working on backgrounds for the film. it feels like I'm working backwards, but if i have the backgrounds all done and ready for me to animate on top of them, I'll work a bit faster and not have to worry about having to do them in the future.the happy couple's home is all complete, i just have to finish coloring in some of the lower-angle views and then I'll be done with the inside portion. wish me luck, the sleep deprivation is starting to take over...

CHARACTER DESIGNS ARE DONE!!! whew, that was certainly fun, but it wasn't too easy to nail down which decade i wanted the outfits to be inspired by.figuring out the color palette will most likely have to wait until i start animating, but i have some ideas about what i want the overall vibe to be.here's some crumbs for you all, enjoy the sneak peek!
